Vote For Steve-O To Play Deadpool
So like WOW, it's been THREE YEARS since I wrote this piece about Steve-O playing Deadpool. This is the 3rd anniversary so I've decided to come back and update this old piece.
First of all a move HAS been announced. And you know what? I'm taking credit for it! All the years this thing was out there, man I don't even KNOW how many thousands of people saw it. And I fully put this out there to get "the juices flowing" and they did flow. And that's how Deadpool ended up in Wolverine! Ok, I know you don't believe. That's ok. The problem is that now we have Ryan Reynolds to contend with. The guy CLEARLY likes comics and is trying to put is mitts on every comic book themed movie he can get his hands on. But WE MUST STOP THIS. I don't really like the guy, but I can at least I can understand why Hollywood likes him for "romantic comedies," but Jesus, Green Lantern? Deadpool? No no no no no.
So I've taken the vote OUT of this article and added some facebook & twitter stuff on the site. USE THEM. Spread the word and get THIS out there, and let it get loud. Not one foot of film has been shot yet and if we pull together we can make this happen.

No, a movie has not been announced. But I’ve been thinking about this. I’ve been thinking about this for a while now actually. It probably isn’t healthy thinking, but it’s what I do. And the idea of a Deadpool movie is a bit of a stretch, BUT given all the super hero movies on their way to getting made he COULD be somebody a main character run into in one of their movies. So the next logical question is; who plays Deadpool? And for me the answer is obvious. Steve-O.
When you think about his sense of humor, his complete disregard for what happens to his body, his circus training, his affinity for the media (being polite here), and of course the voice. Deadpool is supposed to have some sort husky Demi Moore voice, and Steve-O’s got something going on with that voice of his. So he’s my choice. I enjoyed him in Jackass, I loved him in Wildboyz, and I haven’t seen the Dr. Steve-O show yet, but I think he could handle a small to medium sized part in a regular movie. I worry a little because I just Huffington Post piece about showbiz being too much for him to handle.
